Our breeders royalty programme is designed to cover the costs associated with running a specific New Zealand programme. Unlike some of our competitors, we do not simply import and screen varieties which in theory may work in New Zealand's unique climate and growing conditions.  We're dedicated to breeding and testing in New Zealand.

We've developed a programme and workflow which will be easy to understand and manage. Growers can choose to pay the breeders royalty in full or alternatively pay by instalments. (Paying in full may be suitable for some businesses to capture the cost in the same financial year). Once the Cereals New Zealand Limited “Standard Terms & Conditions of Trade” are explained and agreed, acceptance of our “Breeders Royalty” is deemed to apply.

We believe in delivering the highest potential yielding feed and milling wheats as well as barleys in the near future. Our breeders royalty is a small percentage of the total return and helps to continue our New Zealand based programme. This is the reason why we explicitly state that there is to be no farm saved seed from any resulting crop of our varieties.
